An amazing journey with Christmas and New Year sandwiched in the middle of a five week cruise expedition that had us ready for the diversity of life, weather and culture we would find on this cruise. From the big city pace of Buenos Aires, Lima and Panama City to the small town feel of Port Stanley in the Falklands, or pure nature watching the Magellanic Penguins and Sea Lions sun bathing off-shore near Ushuaia, Argentina, or the glaciers in Glacier Alley in the Chilean Fjords and Beagle Channel, to ancient ruins of the Moshe Civilization in Peru, this trip promised diversity from big city to isolated areas and covered a diverse mix of nine countries; namely Argentina, Uruguay, the Falkland Islands, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Honduras and Belize, while seeing some of the most magnificent scenery imaginable anywhere, in our twenty-three ports of call. Truly a trip for us to remember and we hope you enjoy our images of it here.

In 2012, South Korean artist Yoo Young-ho bequeathed a six meter tall, light-blue colored statue of a bowing man called “Greeting Man” to Montevideo, Uruguay. It stands overlooking the River Plate in the Buceo neighborhood of the city. Greeting Man has become known locally –and not unaffectionately– as “Man gazing at his balls”.
